20 Years with a Violin. Then One Spring Changed Everything.
Betsy began baking at age 8 — chocolate chip cookies, perfected obsessively. But life had other plans first. She spent two decades as a professional classical violinist before a series of unexpected life events led her back to the kitchen in spring 2018.
Three years of dedicated study later, she launched Sweet Note Cakes in 2021 — a name that lives at the intersection of her two great loves. Every cake is composed the way she once composed music: with precision, passion, and a desire to move people.
Based in San Jose and serving all of Santa Clara County, Betsy takes on custom orders for celebrations big and small — from birthday cupcakes to wedding tiers.
